My Little Cookie Monster!

So Nick gave Spencer a chocolate cookie the other day. Spencer went crazy for it! He dove right into it and got mad when we took it from him because it was all soggy and gross. He's such a cutie pie! And as you can tell from the pictures, Nick didn't think to take off his white shirt before giving it to him. Thank goodness we have two of those! Why don't guys think of these things?

I Feel Violated

So I came up to my mom's to check a few things on the internet since we haven't got internet hooked up at our house yet. I checked my bank account number to make sure that the money we were waiting on was available so that we could go buy furniture tonight. When I got on my account, I notice that all the money that was in our account had drastically diminished. I checked the transactions and found that someone had gotten hold of my debit card number and had a field day at a few casinos in Mississippi. I've never even been to Mississippi! There were four transactions on my account totalling $7460. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. I called the bank right away and told them what was going on. I just got back from the bank where I had to fill out a few forms to get the money back.

What upsets me about this is that I feel completely violated. I'm most upset because the person who did this went to the casino and blew all our hard-earned money!! How inconsiderate is that?! It makes me sick.

We Did It!

Well, we found a place to live and we moved out of my parents' home this past weekend. Nick and I found a quaint townhome to rent about 25 minutes south of where my parents live. It's about 15 minutes closer to Nick's work, but thankfully we didn't have to change wards for church. It's a cute two bedroom, one bath place with a large kitchen and decent sized living room.

Nick and a few helpers packed up a trailer on Saturday and moved everything over. Since we don't have very much stuff, it only took about two hours to get everything moved.

Yesterday we spent moving boxes and putting things away. We were able to get a lot of things out of boxes or put away for later uses. Now we just have to get the kitchen together and we should have it. As soon as we're able to get our tax return from the government, we'll go and get some furniture to sit on. Right now we're sitting on an air matress and our rocking chair. Hey, it works.

It's been fun to get into a place to call ours. We were hoping to find a house to buy, but neither of us felt comfortable, or that the timing was right for that. After many prayers, and not just from us, this place just kind of fell into our laps. From start to finish, we were in the townhouse within two weeks of first inquiring about it.

We're happy and we love where we're at. It's only for about a year, but it'll be great!
