Last weekend I took another quick little trip, this time down to Virginia. My cousin's wife is having a baby next month and she had a baby shower that we attended. So my mom, sister, gramma, Spencer, and I hopped in the car late Friday evening and drove down. It took just shy of 3 hours to get there. I'll tell ya, driving south on Interstate 95 around Washington, DC at night is not fun at all! But we made it safe and sound.
Saturday we spent the day at my cousin's. The shower was nice. We had fun catching up again. My aunt made probably the best chicken salad sandwiches I've ever had! So good! That evening we just hung around the house. I fell asleep early because Spencer kept me up late and woke me up early.
Sunday we lazied around the house until it was time for church. We went to my aunt and uncle's ward for Sacrament meeting. After a quick change of clothes, we headed home. We took a different route home from Fredericksburg, VA. This time it took us just a few minutes over 3 hours to get home. Not bad.
That was the first time I've been away from Tanner that long on purpose. I don't count my two stays in the hospital. I missed him terribly! It was good to be home and be with my complete family after a few days away! I don't plan on taking anymore trips for a little while. Two trips in two weekends was enough for a while.

Man... yeah I know what you mean about missing kiddos... Dustin isn't even directly related to me, but he left to visit his Nana and Papa from Sunday to tonight... and both Daughn and Damian and I missed him a LOT!
