Things Are Heating Up!

Just a quick update on the post-accident happenings...I spent the last three weeks going to physical therapy for a busted up knee. Thankfully nothing was broken. I am supposed to have an MRI done after the baby comes, but I'm very optimistic that things are going to be just fine. I'm healing quite nicely. In fact, most of my wounds and bruises and soreness have all but gone. I think I'm going to have a nice scar on my left arm from a massive scrape, and maybe a scar on my right knee from that huge abrasion, but other than that, I'm pretty much back to normal. I still have a sore rib, but thankfully that's going away as well. That's been really painful.

Nick finishes this leg of school tomorrow!! Four years of hard work and finally it comes to an end in just 24 hours!!! I'm so excited for him, and me as well. It's been a long four years only to get an Associates Degree out of it. But, at least he'll be able to have a rewarding career with just that. We're still debating on what to do about Nick going back to get his bachelors. We're not sure what to do.

In the mean time, Nick has been offered a stand-by position at one of the hospitals locally. He was told today that he has a strong chance of getting a full-time day job at the same hospital, but we're not going to hold our breath on that one until it's official. He was led to believe a few weeks ago that he would be offered a full-time position right away, but turns out it was only a stand-by position. But a job is a job. And the opportunity has presented itself for a foot-in-the-door situation. It's not the highest paying hospital in the state, in fact, it's actually the lowest paid hospital, but it is a job with health insurance. Since my health insurance is up the end of the month, we kinda need the job. So, with a little bit of faith, we'll jump in.

We've got a busy week and a half coming up. Thursday my cousin Leif comes home from serving a 2 year mission in California for our church; my brother Scott is getting married on Saturday (sadly in Dallas, and I can't go being that I'm hugely pregnant); Sunday is Mother's Day; Monday Nick's sister is having her baby (c-section); Tuesday Nick graduates, Scott and his new wife are flying here to Delaware; Wednesday just happens to be my birthday, and Scott's new in-laws are flying in; Thursday I am co-throwing a bridal shower for a friend, the fam is taking a day trip to New York City (again, sadly I can't go because I'm hugely pregnant!), and extended family starts showing up; Friday more extended family show up, and we're having a big barbeque; Saturday even more extended family show up, Scott and Diana's wedding reception/open house here in Delaware, and my nephew's birthday; then on Sunday May 18, all the extended family leaves and it just so happens to be Gramma Forsythe's birthday. I'm half expected to go into labor that week with all that is going on. Man, busy, busy, busy!!
