This and That

I was finally able to get out of the house and into town on Friday. Granted, it was a little scary driving, but at least I got out of the house! After being snowed in with 3+ feet of snow in five days, the roads were at least passable so that I could get Bennett to a doctor appointment. Some roads are still really scary to drive on, but at least the main roads are good. We were finally able to have church after not having it for two weeks in a row.

Bennett is growing nicely. He now weighs 11 lbs 8 oz. and measures 23 inches long. He's doing well on the growth chart. Not too big, but not too small. Love that! He looks so much like Tanner did as a little baby. It's a little scary how much they look a like. We were finally able to have Nick bless Bennett last Sunday as well. That was a neat experience. A good part of Nick's family was there and all of my family living here were able to come.

We're in the process of moving. When the snow storms hit we spent a week at my parents' house and we just decided to stay. We weren't supposed to move in until this week. So instead of packing last week and moving this, we're doing it reveresed. Trying to pack with two inquisitive little boys and one needy baby is very challenging. Thank goodness for my mom and grandma. And thank goodness we don't have much stuff. These next 6-8 months need to go by really quick. I'm ready to have a place of my own. I'm tired of moving back in with the parents even though I'm really grateful for them for allowing us to.

Nick starts his MRI training program soon. I'm still not looking forward to having him gone, but we'll make it through. I don't think it will be too bad now that Bennett is getting on a good schedule and he's doing a little better at nursing. It's the older boys that give me a run for my money. My mom asked me the other day how I managed with two crazy boys all day. I told her that some days I don't. I just make it through until Nick gets home. It's difficult, but they are good kids. It's rewarding when they come over to me and climb up on my lap, give me a kiss, and lay their head on my shoulder. Love that!

So that's us these last few weeks. Hopefully we're done with the snow for this winter. Since December, we've had probably over 60 inches. That's over 5 feet!! That's the most snow we've ever had here, and definitely the most snow I've ever seen in one season. We're going to have snow hanging around, literally, until May I bet. I'm ready for a little bit of a warm up!
