Over the weekend, the weather decided to turn nasty. The weather men were calling for up to 24 inches of snow in blizzard conditions. After some debate, Nick and I decided that it would be safer for us to come and endure the storm with my mom and dad. So we packed the things we would need for a few days and came up here Friday evening.

Friday evening the snow started falling, and it didn't stop falling until Saturday evening about 6pm. We had howling winds, whiteout conditions. It was pretty intense. We got the bulk of the snow Friday night. Nick and my dad went out and shoveled the 16+ inches while the snow kept coming down. Sunday morning dawned bright and sunny. But the totals were between 24 and 28 inches. Pretty crazy! I've never seen that much snow at one time I don't think.

The boys had fun playing in it. Nick and my dad shoveled literally tons of snow I think. The street got plowed out Sunday evening. Nick took a ride down to our house yesterday with my dad to shovel out a place for us to park. We thought that we would be able to go home last night, but the roads in our little town weren't safe for driving a non-4-wheel drive truck down. So here we are, still at my parents house on Tuesday. And the kicker, they're calling for 10-18 inches more of snow tonight and tomorrow. So we're going to be here a while. Nick will probably have to stay at the hospital tonight and tomorrow because he's on call and he won't be able to get back to the hospital if he's needed. Not when it's a 45 minute drive there and if we're snowed in again! Crazy weather!
