Some Pictures

I just wanted to add a few pictures since I haven't done that in a while, along with a few updates.

Nick took a mock run on the train into Philadelphia to see how things were going to work out for him when this program starts in the next few days. Turns out that the train idea isn't going to work out very well. The train station he wants to ride to and from doesn't have the best schedule. He'd be waiting a long time for the return train and he wouldn't be saving any time if he took the train rather than driving. So we're having to rethink a few things. He's talked with my dad and my dad may know of a few people who live closer to Philadelphia that may be able to rent Nick a room Monday through Thursday nights. Nick has also been looking into finding either an apartment to rent, or a room, or whatever in Philadelphia close to the hospital so that he wouldn't have to drive during the week. So far he has a few leads. We'll see how all of that works out.

Tanner is our challenging child. He's very independent lately saying, "I do it!" a lot. He's very strong-willed. He can definitely throw some major fits. He's really starting to learn how to push both my buttons and daddy's. Wow! is all I can say for some of the days I've had to endure with him. He's so busy that he has to be doing something every second of every waking minute. He's addicted to movies. He gets stuck on a different movie every few weeks, but when he's stuck on one he has to watch it all the time. Right now it's A Bug's Life, which he calls, "Bees". But, when he's being good, he's so much fun to be around. He's really learning a lot of words and saying bigger sentences every day. He's so smart!

Spencer has an ear infection. He's pretty miserable. It seems that it's taking a long time for the antibiotics to kick in and give him relief from the pain. Tylenol isn't helping too much. He's been pretty irritable and in so much pain. He just wants me to hold him and no one else will do. That's been challenging when I have to feed Bennett. But we're making it through. Hopefully in the next few days he'll be feeling much better.

Bennett is getting big. He's getting good at holding his head steady. He smiles at anyone who talks to him. He's starting to get playful as well. He really likes batting at his toys on the play mat. He's a major drooler. He's just about sleeping through the night. I can put him down about 9:30 and he'll sleep until 5 or 5:30 lately. That's been nice. He's also doing much better at eating. He's pretty much a champ now. He doesn't need anymore assistance like he's needed up until now.

I'm staying busy with our three very active kids, trying to get Nick set for school, and trying to prepare myself for being pretty much on my own for the next six months. Granted my parents are here, but Nick won't be and I'm trying to deal with that. I think I might be going to Virginia a few times this summer to spend some time with my aunt and uncle while Nick is away just to keep myself busy and my mind off of Nick not being around very much.
