Virginia

This past week I took the boys, my mom, and my gramma down to my aunt and uncle's house in Virginia. We left last Sunday and drove home on Friday. We didn't do a whole lot while we were there, but it was nice to get away. I wanted to get my mind off of Nick being gone for school, and plus, I just needed a change of scenery. So we packed up the car and headed out.

During the week we just hung out with my aunt as she watched her grand-daughter. The boys got to play, A LOT. There really wasn't any place for the boys to take naps, so they just kind of played until they literally dropped where there were. Tanner fell asleep on the floor a few times, and Spencer fell asleep on the couch a few times. Bennett had his own little pack-n-play, so he was fine.

Nick found a place to stay up north with a few other guys from the Singles Branch. He rents a room from a gentleman that rents rooms to other guys from the church. So even though Nick is the only married guy there, it's not that big of a deal. There is a train station just down the road a few minutes that he can catch during the week to take him to the hospital. He had his first week of class last week and he passed his test with flying colors. Tomorrow he starts his first week of clinicals and he's looking forward to that. It stinks that I'm home without him here. It was hard to have him leave this evening, but I know it's not going to last long.
