Wonderful Birthday!

Last Friday I turned 28.  I don't get all bent out of shape about getting one year closer to 30.  I don't care about what age I am.  I never have.  But, I did manage to have a really fabulous birthday.  Nick came home from up north a night early so that he could be home with me all day on my birthday.  I woke up Friday morning about 6am because of Bennett.  I thought that I'd be up for the day then.  But, I laid Bennett back down after feeding him and I laid back down in bed.  The next thing I knew it was 9:45am!!  I had fallen back asleep and Nick took over taking care of the boys!  I finally was able to catch up on sleep that was sorely needed!  I actually felt like a normal human being for the first time in a long time.  That was more than enough of a present for me! 

Nick couldn't wait to give me my presents, se he gave them to me as soon as I was ready for the day.  He got me the first DVD set of Glee, as well as the second soundtrack for the same show!  I am not ashamed to say that I am a huge "Gleek".  That was great!  We spent the rest of the day at home and with the boys.  Nick debated whether or not to take the boys camping because of the thunderstorms we were supposed to get that night, but after some confirmation that other people were going to go despite the short storm, he decided to go.  So we raced around to get food together and everything that they would need for a night of father/son camping.  Nick took Tanner and Spencer with him and they had a good time.  So that left me at home with Bennett.  What a nice break.  I had a great time with just Bennett.  I was pretty quiet. 

So my birthday was a great day.  It was one of the nicer days I've had in a long time.  I love my husband for doing all that he did for me that day.  Even though it wasn't all that much, it was huge to me!
