We went to the zoo while we were in Colorado. The boys had never been to a zoo before, but they really like animals, so we had a good adventure while we were there. 
Tanner loved seeing the giraffs and elephants. The giraffs were right on Tanner's level so he was able to see their heads and the rest of their bodies below. He really enjoyed seeing the turtle walk around for all to touch and get a closer look. He touched it once, but that was all he would do. 
Spencer loved the chipmunks running around the zoo. He would chase after them and they would scurry away. A few times the chipmunks would chase after Spencer and he would run away. Either way Spencer would squeal and laugh! It was fun to see.
We all had a great time. Tanner called the alligators "snakes". Spencer got a little frightened when the grizzly bear, which was swimming behind glass, put its gigantic paws against the glass right in front of him. They just really enjoyed all the animals. We'll have to take them to the zoo again soon when the weather isn't quite so hot!

Don't worry, the elephant is not real. It looks real, yes, but it is just a cut-out propped up with nuts and bolts.
